His wives and children are thriving, and so is the Kingdom of Valmaron…on the surface. Despite the peace won at great cost, his burdens are far from over. Killing a god was just the beginning. War is coming.

The past still lingers, especially for Devari. She has come of age, but her destiny is unclear, as well as her bond with Jaron. While he must unravel new threats to his kingdom and make the hard choice between morality and the greater good, an insidious evil hides where nobody thought to look.

Old Scripts will be put to the test, and new ones must be written not only to mend what was, but to save Devari’s life.
